If our illuvium account had ID verification, two way authenticator, Phone number, twitter linked, discord added account could have greater access to the game and this would encourage people to play at one account and make it harder for people to abuse multi-accounting

As a few examples of Greater access :
More storage units by default
Unlimited illuvitars/fuel/skins up on the market instead of just one item
You can now use all skins and customization on youre account (instead of only the default)

Basically those are things that matters but doesnt in a way so it doesnt take away from a free market but limits those whos looking for a way to abuse the systems

I just have a hard time seeing anything bad about this, its what most games should do! Identify and take responsibility for youre actions, lets play clean.

I think there are a lot of people in the web3 space that don't want to doxx. So they won't give up phone number. At the moment I also don't see why you would pay for multiple accounts to get armor, weapons, Illuvials, ... Wouldn't it benefit the DAO if people spend money on multiple accounts? 😄

Yeah thats probably true, the doxx would probably only be for illuvium to see of course

Yeah its impossible to know why people does what they do, so it would be some kind of prevent thingy so the more casual/avg player would stay and not find other ways around and yes from that perspective, my idea dies emoji_26 lmao ❤️

There's some additional baggage that could come with collecting information. If you don't have information, you're not liable for that information. I genuinely think there's a lot of value in not storing people's information, or even asking for it in the first place.

Additionally, identity theft is a thing. If systems are designed where legitimate people can only use a single account, the only people who can benefit from multi-account are people who are able to create multiple accounts through illegitimate means.

As a general principle I think staying the course is best. Systems designed to limit the effectiveness of multiple accounts are a good idea, and don't require KYC etc.
