Illuvium Private Beta Skins

With the addition of the private beta overworld possibly coming this week things are looking GREAT for Illuvium! I just thought that the idea of giving players skins who have captured "X" amount of Illuvials in the overworld might give those an incentive to keep on playing. This is good for the team as they get more people playing to give more information for polishing up the overworld and it gives players an incentive to keep on playing so that they can grind for a limited time skin. Thoughts? 👀

Title > Skin. Skins are obtainable through blueprints so should be reserved for IZ imo
I would like a title such as: "Gotta catch em all" when you have all illuvials in your Illuviary.

I agree that skins should be reserved for IZ.

That being said I liked the idea mentioned on the AMA with Kieran and Volkin about possible account bound emoji's or something.

I would love to see quests to drive for and to help keep me playing, more than just hours spent, whether it's gathering a certain selection of harvestables, defeating a certain number of Illuvials, or what not.

I would okay with any kind of "cosmetic" that doesn't give an advantage inside of the game. Just give us a reason to grind tf out of the beta lol.

Beta rewards should be rewarded to everyone participating the beta test. A limited edition skin for all!

@severe yew @cunning grail could we please get confirmation if the current plan for skins were to be exclusive to blueprints? I thought there were also some obtainable through other means?

Extending on that if their plan was always to remain exclusive to blueprints I agree to keep it that way. They have also made it clear that the incentive is the ability to gain access early. Personally I would like to see something even if small given to those dedicated testers. @ripe moon suggested emotes which I think would be great

Skins aren’t exclusive to Illuvium Zero. But some of the best and rarest come from there. The illuvial skim suits only come from zero.

Thats what I thought. Extending on that @cobalt swift I will bring up the potential for considering some overworld limited skins. In a similar fashion to those acquired from playing the illuvium zero alpha. But the teams stance is currently quite clear

And they will not be illuvial skin suits considering that's exclusive to land and I'd like to keep it that way

Not sure what you mean by overworld limited. Only works there or only obtained there?

Basically a small reward for those playing the beta to help test the game. I know testing the game is the reward, and quite frankly I agree. But maybe theres 1 or 2 skins you could get out of it for major progression until the game resets. To show that you were here early.

We will do that for the open beta. I think it might feel pretty bad if you’ve been following for 2 years, never got into the private beta, and someone got a skin that you can’t get just because of random luck. Whereas public beta everyone can play. The game will still be small compared to what it will be in the future.

It’s different to zero where you just have to own a plot. There’s no random luck involved.
