illuvidex notifications on listings

Particularly with Illuvitars and Illuvials, it would be beneficial for all parties if the illuvidex could provide notifications/alerts when a desired item has been listed.

I imagine the simplest way to implement this is for filters to be applied, then an option to ‘be notified when new listings match this search’.

Value for seller is faster sale and or better price. Value for buyer is easily finding the desired collectables without constantly checking the market. Value for stakers is higher Revdis due to a higher demand/price/turnover.

This feature would also help ensure the best price for rare items (holos, skins, blueprints). This assumes illuvidex will eventually offer Auctions (Normal and Dutch).

I imagine, third party solutions would work, but having it built into illuvidex would work better. Purely based on the assumption that illuvidex would have greater adoption. Actually, now that I think about it, more options for people to receive notifications from more sources would be best.

I feel theres a hard balance. you have your primary marketplace like your coinbase, super basic and easy to use so the more complex features arent distracting or scary. Then you have your coinbase pro with all the bells and whistles that has all the features you need if you want to go deeper. I sense the illuvidex may want to fill the role of the former, given its the landing page for the 'anti crypto gamers'

It is a hard balance. I would have thought that 'anti crypto gamers' would be more comfortable staying on Illuvidex then going to a third party.

yeah thats what I am saying, nasty scary crypto features may not be inviting in the place where gamers will frequent, oversimplifying it is ideal. Think the fortnite battle pass or cosmetic stores, their user journey is simple, click market, click category, click buy

So if you are actively searching for something specific using search filters, and then receive a notification that it is available to buy; are you saying this notification is a nasty scary crypto feature? Or are you referring more to the auction style sales?

Hmmmm I think your idea is great I guess i'm just extending the scope in my head. Once you can do alerts whats stopping you from doing autobuys feature, or stats calculations features, idk. A feature like that begs the question of many more features, in my mind at least. I still think its a great add but I would be precise about how it is added to the Ui and overall design

Absolutely, can't expect the Illuvium team to 'just add one small thing'. I reckon that would be an easy fix on the UI with a 'Show Advanced Options' button.

I think we've shown that "one small change" isn't in Illuviums vocabulary. It's whole hog or nothing.
