#Gamified Staking in IZ

Yep and no need to confuse them whatâs going on under the hood. Fluid or crystals whatever have a price that moves up and down. They buy and sell at the current rate shown in the app. They get more by adding it to the chamber and harvesting plants. More fluid = more plants.
To make it easy Iâd think set in-app purchases ($2, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100) and show an estimation for the amount of fluid they would receive.
Would the lock duration be a lot shorter? Would the person doing this be upset if the ilv price went down and after they got their rewards they had less value than they started with? I honestly love this idea to make it way easier to onboard though, just trying to think through some devils advocate responses
Didnât think that far about a minimum lock period. Would they be upset if value went down, I guess so. Though think about players buying 5-100 dollars worth of fluid. This wouldnât be for big stakers.
They would need to know that price of fluid can go up or down and see a basic chart of historic prices.
On one hand I like the idea of gamified staking. On the other Illuvium has always maintained a clear narrative that the ILV token is separate from the game. I think blurring this line would not be good for mainstream adoption, even if we do keep it relatively hidden behind the scenes.
Fair enough, why donât you think it will be good for mainstream adoption though?
I just think it would be too much at once to onboard. I think it would be better broken up, first âyour collectables are real, we have been holding them for you, click here to migrate to your own walletâ. Then, after that, I think would be a better time to introduce gamified staking as itâs a more advanced concept.
Right, are the structures in the free-to-play IZ game NFTs?
I like the idea, but to stop confusion of price up and down, i woud say he generate only fluid, without be able zo pay out in dolla, but he can use the collekted fluid and his original fluid for eny game in the metaverse or for physical shop. So he cab stay in his mainstream feeling, dont get confused over price after long term and ilv is dancing
This is a really good idea. Makes things very accessible and makes the price look more appealing. Maybe being able to âreleaseâ acquired in game nfts for fuel would be an option too
There are already some plans to gamify staking. However the current idea doesn't look exactly like this and still requires people to actually stake, and in doing so get some type of in-game reward. I can't go into more detail than that. But this is a pretty cool idea. This way of doing it has advantages but it is very complex and that would be my hesitation.
