when AH is crowded, things are going to undersell even if just for a little bit as always. i've just seen too many items worth 1.5-2x the price they're listed at go unsold because they're put at a very high initial bid price and people aren't willing to bid on it to explore it. the more people bid, the better. people's unwillingness to use AH the right way letting things go naturally, either by interfering with self-bidding or by trying to inflate initial prices will just lead to more discontent and potential wasted money from listing fees of items that may go unsold.
AH game isn't all that complicated: give people good prices and your stuff will get bought out. if someone is buying your item to resell, their profit margins are so razor thin that unless they're pulling some insane scams then it isn't really worth it. if they find another angle, good for them, but you got yours and managed to move on. i'm not saying to list stuff for cheap, or for bids only starting at 1cr, but i do believe that if you want things to actually sell you gotta at least put 1cr bids and an enticing b/o so that people will be buying your stuff. i noticed this a lot with cheap accessories. you often see a lot of them go for <1kcr, but i managed to sell A LOT in this past week just because i put some nice b/o prices and people been buying them all the time because it's just so cheap that they just don't mind. you can apply the same logic for more expensive accessories and cosmetics. you just gotta give people a deal they can't pass and they will be compelled to buy. by putting things so expensive to begin with, sometimes it just won't work out because people are scared of it.

there's only so much demand for a certain item. you can't expect all of them to get bought out all the time. when people jump in on selling a certain item, demand will dry up and the later ones might go unsold for a while until there's demand again. if you jump in late, stuff like this is bound to happen. problem is that if you jump too early you might undersell too. gotta balance things better.
