This is a gamemode which allows for Multiplayer races on any track that follows Villa Gordon's precedent for checkpoints. It automatically detects gates and tracks lap times, with a live leaderboard.

#

Hosts can choose between two modes:

  • Endurance: Times are scored by the first N (configurable) laps that a given player does. Once all players have done at least N laps or the timer expires, the game ends and goes to a leaderboard.
  • Superscore: Times are scored by the best N (laps that a given player does. Once the timer expires, it goes to a leaderboard.

Players are limited to non-combat items, but maps themselves aren't limited at all- so pit manuevers, adding thrusters, and cutting off pieces of one's own car are all in play. Players are able to spawn in new vehicles (up to a limit, if the host chooses) in case things get too crazy or if they crash.

#

To prevent griefing, all gates are made static and immovable- so players aren't able to detach gates and put them all next to each other.

Unrelatedly I caught such a hard pic for the poster image

Fair warning the UI is very ugly rn, its something I'm working on but I'm trying to make sure the functionality is all there first
