Hi, you answered everything I was going to ask about so that sounds very strange. Is it only Teardown that this started happening for, or have other games gotten worse FPS as well?
I have some steps here to get ahold of the logs, but they probably wont say much about what's causing the lower fps, but maybe there will be a clue or something.
- Press Windows+R, which should open a small window in the bottom left corner
- Type in "%localappdata%\Teardown" and press Enter
- Look for log.txt, and send it as an attachment via DMs
Also, try lowering the resolution/running the game in windowed mode. See if that helps, then it's likely to be a rendering bottleneck.
If that doesn't help, still try turning off all mods since you could've gotten really unlucky and someone happened to update a mod just as you made the hard drive installation.
yeah so not sure what is going on with this crap but I'm genuinely aggravated i uninstalled the game completely as well as every mod i ever had AND unplugged my external drive after that the game starts up gets past the click to start screen then my screen turns red with a lot of lines and turns my entire computer off.
game is uninstalled complely
files etc
going to try to install the game ONE last time on my external drive this time and MAYBE that will fix it.
if all fails then im not sure what the deal is
yep reinstalled the game and it did the same shit.
Wow, that should not happen, something's wrong with your PC in that case.
Sounds like either the GPU or PSU is overheating/overloading. Try updating the drivers or if that doesn't work maybe a DDU is needed.
I just noticed that I've forgotten to ask, but what GPU and CPU do you have? 🙂
Yeah there shouldn't be any problems to run the game, I'm leaning towards some sort of driver/hardware failure. Try updating the drivers to start with.
alright thanks pookie
