Would it be possible to send the crash logs (via DMs)?

Here are the steps:

  1. Make a new folder on the desktop
  2. Press Windows+R, which should open a small window in the bottom left corner
  3. Type each line shown below, e.g., "%localappdata%\CrashDumps" in the dialog box, and press enter, repeat for all locations.
    a. "%localappdata%\CrashDumps" (only teardown.dmp files are needed)
    b. "%localappdata%\Teardown\crash" (take entire folder)
    c. "%localappdata%\Teardown" (only log.txt is needed)
  4. Copy all files in the folders you've opened to your new folder on the desktop
  5. Right-click the new folder, select "send to", and choose compressed (zipped) folder
  6. Make the new .zip file, and send it as an attachment (if it's too big via Discord, send via Google Drive, Dropbox, etc)

Here's how to create a dxdiag file (useful system information):

  1. Press Windows+R, which should open a small window in the bottom left corner
  2. Type dxdiag and press enter, answer yes to the pop-up to accept that it collects system information
  3. Let the program finish. There will be a green progress bar in the lower left corner of the window
  4. Click the "Save all information" button, save it to the desktop or somewhere you can find it later
  5. Attach the dxdiag.txt file

# sweet basin I sent it to direct

You seem to have a mimalloc dll issue, it's something that will be fixed on our side in a while but for now just follow these steps:

  1. Press Windows+R, type "cmd" and press enter.
  2. This should open the terminal, here run the following
    setx MIMALLOC_DISABLE_REDIRECT 1
  3. Restart Steam, or restart your PC to be sure
  4. Start Teardown again, it should now work
