Every time i try using the ingame recorder, the game just freezes and crashes.

other than steam workshop mods, no.

The Steam workshop mods count as mods, try turning most/all of them off 🙂

You just need to disable them in the Mods tab in the main menu

Try a sandbox map, modded maps that aren't being played on don't do anything to your game 🙂
