I turned it off
no
you already had it turned of?
no, after
does it work now?.. after restarting the game
yes
hm ok
someone solved the problem by recreating the folder manually
just be careful to not loose your files
you could rename it.. create a new folder with the correct name and move your files in there maybe
if you know what i mean
okay, ill try
or back the up first to be safe
like copy the whole folder somewhere else.. if its not too much data
already did it
oh, i have 2 documents file
this one
and this one
a file or a folder
folder*
lol
its a default win10 thing i think
i have 11
or 11
okay
the first is the one you could try to re-create
still the same problem
so you renamed the Documents folder and created a new one named Documents in your user folder.. right?
yes
can you disable onedrive?.. not sure where that would be.. settings i guess.. and disable the sync of Documents there
okay
i personally never used it so its always a mistery to me
you backed up your files right?.. just double checking ;)
yeah ๐
if you find the onedrive disable thing.. maybe try to restart pc after.. so it leaves your folder alone
if that doesn't help i don't know further.. if you dont have some antivirus running.. but maybe someone else has an idea then
Okay, restarting my pc
verifying the teardown files might be the last i would try.. can never hurt
doesn't work
i'll try this
damn :(
yes
did you turn of real time protect before verifying?
or.. can you turn of defender altogether.. to test
okay
sorry
Anyway, thanks for the help โค๏ธ
its ok
last thing maybe..
right click the Documents folder and check if the permissions are correct.. you have write permissions
looks good
damn.. lets wait for some other <@&775032658048057386> with maybe other ideas
okay, tysm for help
no problem
good luck๐๐ป
`Heyo
Hello
One drive is known to cause several issues with access in Teardown and other applications
I removed it completely from my computer
Ah ok
Can you send the log file found here?
- Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog. Or open file explorer and select the top search bar.
- Type %localappdata% and press Enter.
- Navigate to the "Teardown" folder.
Try reinstalling the game and see if the path updates to just Documents
okay
long validating
same
(f its a OneDrive)
i renamed onedrive folder
Maybe I need to completely remove the onedrive folder from there
No no, uninstall and reinstall the game
