I want to have better control over the ambient noise on my newest map, however that means understanding how the environment detects whether the player is exposed to the outside or not. I’ve noticed it’s not quite as simple detecting a roof but also gaps in walls also mean the full ambience noise is heard.

Is this something that can be replicated in scripting for finer control?

I guess the more poignant question would be a method for determining if a player is an indoor or outdoor place without triggers
