ok so heres waht i was trying to fix

#

every time i hit anything with ... anything really, it causes a very very large lag spike

#

this happens on basically every map ive tried it on and its making the game practically unplayable

#

i also noticed some of the small debris that should be getting removed, isn't.

#

now recently i did install the Small Debris Retainer and then this started happening, so i disabled it and completely uninstalled it

#

but it just kinda kept happening...

#

so im wondering if there's anything i can do about this

while trying to fix this i've updated my drivers, cleared out like 26gb of junk files, verified game file integrity,,, all that

#

it just aint working right

#

there's also whatever the heck happened here

think im gonna try just reinstalling the game lmao

Disable Mods

Open the mod menu in Teardown, right click in the middle column, and select "Disable All"

Disable all of your mods and then see if any of those problems occur

Update drivers and Windows and reboot

For Nvidia Users:
You can update drivers via Geforce Experience or their driver page.
For AMD Users:
You can check for updates using the AMD Radeon Settings or by navigating to their driver page.
After updating drivers, search for "Windows Update" in the Start menu and install any available updates.
Once updates are installed, restart your computer.

so now its very slowly reinstalling every mod

started running into a different problem after all (or at least most) of my mods came back

#

constant lag spikes, as shown here

#

doesnt seem to happen while i have maps open, rather just happens in the main menu (and guis)

nvm think i found the issue that was causing the lag on destruction

#

the debris retainer was interfering with the more-realistic-destruction mods i had
