So, it’s hard to describe what I’m wanting exactly. I know I want my character to be half gnome. I drew the character based off the gnome race from the dead mmorpg Wizardry Online and I would like for my DnD character to be as closely related to that race.

I’m thinking her other half would be elf due to her appearance. And as for class, I’d like for her to be a fighter-I think. I can’t really decide what I want for class cause I also want her to grow strawberries. I have an idea for a transformation able weapon. She has sheers and I would like for them to be able to transform into a short sword. I’m not sure if that fits in with any class 😅

I do apologize if it’s hard to understand my vision. It’s difficult for me to understand, myself lol

Also, is it possible to discuss help with this character without being in a voice chat. I don’t really want to share my license to verify my age.

Now about your character concept:

Why Half Gnome and not just a full on Gnome? They have pointy ears already.

A transformable weapon would definitely be a magic item, not really something you would have right off the bat. It can be something you can work towards getting, but it would probably be too strong to give you right at the start.

You growing strawberries can just be a character quirk.

In general, as I told another person who was having issues figuring their character out: slow down, figure things out one at a time instead of all at once

What I would do is, become a Fighter and take the Two-Weapon Fighting (Fighting Style) that way you can do a thing where your sheers split into 2 short swords and you can attack with both of them, a feat that helps this build is Dual Wielder.

Doesn't need to be a magic item, just 2 short swords being held together by a pin, that once removed, boom 2 swords.

The Strawberries you can just be character background, but if you do that might as well take the Farmer Background (Extra HP never hurts).

What Duel Wielder would do in the long term is you can have a shortsword in one hand and instead of being forced to have another Light weapon property, you can have a short sword and a long Sword, just as long as the 2nd weapon does not have the 2 Handed property

That’s a bummer about the weapon though. Her sheers are too small to become two short swords but that is a really cool idea!

Oh, what if I made her an artificer? Would she be able to make a weapon like that and be able to wield it?

I mean sometimes you can make sure you talk to your DM about it, there are some DMs who will always work with their players on characters.

I don’t have a DM yet ha. I just want to have a solid character before jumping into a game. I might be wanting something too specific and have to think of something else. Maybe not have her wield her sheers as a sword and do potions with her strawberries instead ha
