Power Word: What?
9th-level enchantment
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V
Duration: Instantaneous
You speak a word of confusion that resonates with the very fabric of reality, causing a creature within range to question everything they know. Choose one creature that you can see within range. If the creature has 200 hit points or fewer, it is instantly overwhelmed with a sense of profound confusion and existential dread. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, it is subject to the following effects:
-
Mind Fracture: The creature's thoughts are fragmented, causing it to be stunned until the end of your next turn.
-
Question Reality: The creature perceives all creatures and objects around it as illusory and insubstantial, making it unable to distinguish friend from foe. For the next minute, the creature must roll a d10 at the start of each of its turns to determine its behavior, using the Confusion spell's behavior table.
-
Eroded Identity: The creature's sense of self is deeply shaken. For the next hour, the creature has disadvantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws.
On a successful save, the creature is not stunned but is still subject to the Question Reality and Eroded Identity effects.
