I want to give my human warlock a sword that was given to her by her patroness that she uses to cast spells and stuff, but DnD beyond wont let me give her a sword at all so how do I do that if I can?

Once you select pact of the blade you can select any weapon in your inventory in dnd beyond and select it to be your pact weapon but doing so dose not give it to you as your starting weapon. You can add it from add items in your inventory by clicking manage button.

Options like hexblade etc will only appear of you purchase them at the site.
