#Nginx Proxy Manager reverse proxy stopped working.

Hi, I have been using mainsail through mainsailOS on my Voron for 2 years now. I had it setup with a simple reverse proxy to have an URL instead of the ip. It was setup with a valid Lets Encrypt SSL certificate. Like my 20+ other services. Today it stopped working.

The website loads but it gets stuck on the connecting loading bar, but with a port of 443. I thought that should be 80? If i access the site via IP and https it works. If i change my reverse proxy to http and remove the ssl, the website just times out with error 504.

Does anyone have an idea? It was working maybe 2 months ago. Nothing in my network or setup changed.

Not sure which logs or screenshots would be helpful here...

I'm not very helpful for this topic, but you should provide a moonraker.log and tell us why you use ssl in your local network (assuming and hoping you only use it locally)

i have other services that run on https using a self signed cert. i just want to not have the prompt.

#

i do not need ssl, especially for mainsail. i just set up everything the same and it worked (still works for others) quite well

You could just deactivate it for mainsail 😜

#

So you could just use http

#

Or is your browser forcing https?

#

Port 443 is HTTPS and port 80 is HTTP

#

I overread the 504 error with http

i was thinking the same. just do http in the proxy. getting a timeout feels like a proxy issue, not mainsail. but i am out of ideas

#

and switching mainsail, moonraker to ssl seems to be even more work...
