M600 gcode is making my machine go crazy

Basically, if I make a normal print without an M600, it comes out perfectly, with the configured speeds and good quality. When I make the same print with the same settings but add the M600 code to change the color, the machine goes crazy. When I press resume, it continues printing but ignores the previously configured speed and quality settings.
