We are glad to help and chat with you on our Community Discord, but if you need help and want the best support possible you should, follow a few simple rules:

A postive z offset would mean that you have to increase your z position to get to the probe

#

Overall the values that you get from that macro should be correct

#

Or did you test and it resulted in a way wrong z position?

onyx hawk
#

If I use the macro, it gives a positive value in the window, but when it's saved to the config, it's saved as a negative value, resulting in an error

#

I'll take some screenshots, sec

Not at my pc, I might have messed up in my head again

#

But you most likely get an out of range error, right?

#

Then you should decrease the position min of your z

#

Don't try to be smarter than a macro a lot of people are using daily

onyx hawk
#

No no, not trying to be.

But removing the sign in front of it, looks like that ^^

#

So try to set position_min: -1 in your stepper_z section

Alright

Alright. So I basically removed all auto configurations, and started from scratch. That seems to have done the trick.

#

Also set the position_min to -1 as you suggested
