I am using Chrome on Fedora38 Linux and I am noticing a repeatable pattern where if the Mainsail tab to my printer is open, it would cause significant lab on other Chrome tabs/windows. When the tab is open, Chrome's CPU usage jumps for around 4% to about 20%. I don't see any increased CPU usage on the Pi.
What's frustrating is that this is repeatable but not 100%. There are times when having the tab open allows other tabs/windows to work just fine.
#Mainsail tab seems to cause lag/hangs in Chrome on Linux

Are you using a cam or special theme?
the cpu jumps between 4% and 20% is the tempchart on the dashboard. it needs the most performance from mainsail
Yes, I have a camera but the camera is not shown on the dashboard. No special theme.
Understandable, but that should not cause other tabs/windows to just hang. Sometimes for uo to several seconds.
It's very consistent that when the Mainsail tab gets closed, all hangs stop.
20% is also not a reasonable issue for hanging. i think more on a browser support issue in fedora or something similar
Well, I am also Linux as Dailydriver user, I am using mainly arch/manjaro and/or Debian Sid(bookworm on servers) and I never faced such a behaviour tbh^^
How do you run your browser ? Native? Flatpak/Snap?
RPM from Google's repository.
Repeat the step using Flatpak, if it stops with that behaviour it might be the googles rpm...
