'NO SIGNAL' from webcam when connecting it to a different USB port

I recently connected my webcam to a different USB port on my manta m5p mainboard and now i no longer get a feed from it that i can see in mainsail. All i get is a box with 'NO SIGNAL' written in it. I do also get an FPS reading in the bottom right corner that is changing in real time so i'm confused as to why i am not getting a signal. Is it because not all USB ports can stream this data from the webcam?? Any help would be much appreciated!! 🙂

There is a problem with the tags you selected for this post. Please fix them to fit your question.

To change the tags of this post:

1. Open the ... menu on the top right corner of this post.
2. Find Edit tags
3. Select the checkbox of the correct tags.

Usually you just need to select one tag!

Fix your tags, like the bot told you.

Use the path from your log. For whatever reason, you defined the usb port specific path

The correct device to use would be following:
/dev/v4l/by-id/usb-Sonix_Technology_Co.__Ltd._USB_Live_camera_SN0001-video-index0
