Please help me to connect 2 camera which 1.raspicam and aukey lm1e together on mainsail. I used crownest so can't connect both of camera at the same time.

#

I try to fix this and DONE.
Afterthat i reboot the machine and found the problem

pallid glen
#

So your problem is already solved?

visual iron
#

after click FIRMWARE RESTART
The Raspi camera was gone just online the usb camera.

visual iron
pallid glen
#

Your description was misleading sry for that.
What picam version are you using?

#

I found an issue not corresponding to the picam problem. Your AUKEY settings are wrong. They should like the following.

[cam AUKEY]
mode: mjpg
port: 8081
evice: /dev/v4l/by-id/usb-PC-LM1E_PC-LM1E_PC-LM1E-video-index0
resolution: 1920x1080
max_fps: 30
v4l2-ctl: focus_auto=0, focus_absolute=30
visual iron
#

i will try

pallid glen
#

What picam version are you using? v1, v2, v2.1, v3?

visual iron
#

1.3

sterile zephyr
pallid glen
# visual iron 1.3

The dev of crowsnest said something like that.

For short I will drop the whole mimic in future. Raspicams v1 arent working at all in bullseye properly, they arent produced anymore so, screw it...
Can you run cat /etc/os-release and send the output?

visual iron
#

Done but reboot fail

pallid glen
#

Send your log file again please

#

What crowsnest version are you using?

visual iron
#

just in install today

pallid glen
#

I just remembered something that the buster support gets dropped with the next update but that shouldn't be of any problem for this atm

#

Please change your first section in the config accordingly

log_level: debug
delete_log: true
```send a log again after like 2min that crowsnest started fully
pallid glen
#
No change the [crowsnest] section
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Change your port of the raspicam to 8082, something is blocking 8080 right now
visual iron
pallid glen
#
I need a log again
#
Can you send the output of sudo netstat -tulpn | grep LISTEN too?
visual iron
pallid glen
visual iron
pallid glen
#
What are your webcam settings in Mainsail?
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Why do you have mjpg streamer running?
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Please change your snapshot url to /webcam2/?action=snapshot and /webcam3/?action=snapshot
#
You should disable mjpg_streamer, I think this was your previous solution for the cameras
pallid glen
#
I don't know how you installed it. Maybe you are running a sudo crontab -e or maybe you installed it as a service
visual iron
pallid glen
#
1
#
but I don't think that you have used crontab for that then
#
ctrl+x to escape
visual iron
pallid glen
#
just exit with ctrl+x again
visual iron
#
ok
pallid glen
#
send output of ls ~
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Run cd ~/mjpg-streamer and make uninstall
visual iron
pallid glen
#
both single commands
visual iron
#
sry
pallid glen
#
cd ~/mjpg-streamer
#
make uninstall
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Maybe sudo make uninstall
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Try this then sudo rm /usr/local/bin/mjpg_streamer && sudo rm -r /usr/local/lib/mjpg-streamer && sudo rm -r /usr/local/share/mjpg-streamer
visual iron
pallid glen
#
find -name mjpg_streamer
visual iron
pallid glen
#
sudo find / -name mjpg_streamer
visual iron
pallid glen
#
or still running?
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Then just delete the mjpg_streamer folder with cd ~ && rm -r mjpg-streamer
#
maybe this will delete it
visual iron
pallid glen
pallid glen
visual iron
pallid glen
#
cd ~
#
sudo rm -r mjpg-streamer
visual iron
pallid glen
#
just spam ctrl+c until you have an empty command line or a line with ^C or something like that
#
then run ```cd ~
sudo rm -r mjpg-streamer
visual iron
pallid glen
#
ls ~
visual iron
pallid glen
#
then sudo reboot
#
and if your cameras don't work send a crowsnest.log again
visual iron
pallid glen
#
So your raspicam still doesn't work or is this the aukey cam?
visual iron
#
raspicam doesn't work
pallid glen
#
nope it's the aukey cam
visual iron
#
this swap automatically
pallid glen
#
what does swap automatically?
visual iron
#
webcam3 should be the Picam
pallid glen
#
Yes, so your aukey cam isn't working anymore right now
visual iron
pallid glen
# visual iron
On those pictures, you have NO SIGNAL on webcam2 and a picture on webcam3
#
webcam 3 is picam and webcam2 is aukey
visual iron
#
If i unplug the USB AUKEY the raspi cam will show on the PI CAMERA
pallid glen
# visual iron
I'm really confused right now. Is this what is happening right now or something else?
#
Your pictures and log are telling me that your aukey cam isn't working
visual iron
#
8081 is /webcam2 is PIcamera was installed at the lower corner
8082 is /webcam3 is AUKEY was installed at the top Front
pallid glen
#
[cam raspicam]
mode: mjpg
port: 8082
device: /dev/video2
resolution: 1920x1080
max_fps: 15
[cam AUKEY]
mode: mjpg
port: 8081
device: /dev/v4l/by-id/usb-PC-LM1E_PC-LM1E_PC-LM1E-video-index0
resolution: 1920x1080
max_fps: 30
These are the settings from the last log you sent. If you changed something, send a new log please
pallid glen
visual iron
#
ok i unplug and plug agian
#
the name of camera is ok
pallid glen
#
I think there is something really going wrong on your setup.
visual iron
#
but Pucam not working
pallid glen
#
Can you send a log again please?
#
Last log looked good for me
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Your raspicam is on the wrong device again Detected 'Raspicam' Device -> /dev/video0
#
That's why the picam showed the wrong one. You rebooted in between
visual iron
#
My previous problem was
Once everything is set Then I reboot the machine. the pi was gone
pallid glen
#
Ok, now I get the problem.
#
This "fix" didn't work for you
visual iron
#
and the AUKEY switch to pi cam
visual iron
#
but when reboot
pallid glen
#
It didn't
#
This fix should be permanent after one time it worked
#
So please retry it. Make sure that your device is set to /dev/video0 in your crowsnest.conf. Then unplug the usb cam. Reboot your device and then wait until you see the raspicam stream. Then replug your usb cam, restart crowsnest once to see if both cameras show up
#
If that done reboot a few times to see if it's working or not
visual iron
#
this one i change to /dev/video0
#
all fine
pallid glen
#
Unplug the cam now
#
the usb one
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Now reboot and don't plugin the usb cam again
visual iron
#
ok
pallid glen
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Then plugin the usb cam again and open your crowsnest.conf and hit save & restart at the top right
pallid glen
#
No
#
in the crowsnest.conf editor top right
#
don't click firmware restart
visual iron
pallid glen
#
yes top right the blue save & restart
visual iron
#
plugin USB frist right?
pallid glen
#
yes
#
then wait until you see both cams on dashboard again
visual iron
#
ok
pallid glen
#
Now run sudo reboot on your terminal
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Now see if your cams are still working after a few reboots
visual iron
#
now the camera swap
pallid glen
#
ok rip
#
I will get you someone here that maybe i willing to help or maybe not as he dropped the support for v1
visual iron
#
🥺
#
Thank for your time
#
I've been trying to fix this problem for 6 hours now.
pallid glen
#
I got another idea first
#
Backup your config and then reinstall crowsnest
#
wait
#
Run sudo echo "bcm2835-v4l2" >> /etc/modules
#
cp ~/crowsnest/resources/bcm2835-v4l2.conf /etc/modprobe.d/
#
this should apply the fix manually
#
If that doesn't work I will get the expert for you, he doesn't have that much time and need to focus on other thing so that's why I hesitate to ping ihm
pallid glen
# visual iron
Then you have to follow the steps from here on again and maybe that will help
visual iron
#
Ok I will
#
Are you still there ?
pallid glen
#
Yes
visual iron
pallid glen
#
You don't need to backup for that
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Maybe this will work: sudo (echo "bcm2835-v4l2" >> /etc/modules)
#
Not sure about the syntax right now
visual iron
pallid glen
#
sudo nano /etc/modules
#
Navigate with your arrow keys to the bottom of the file and paste in bcm2835-v4l2
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Press ctrl+s and then ctrl+x
#
and run cat /etc/modules
visual iron
pallid glen
#
sudo cp ~/crowsnest/resources/bcm2835-v4l2.conf /etc/modprobe.d/
visual iron
#
no respond
pallid glen
#
That's expected
pallid glen
visual iron
#
yup
pallid glen
#
Yes
visual iron
pallid glen
#
Still working after multiple reboots?
visual iron
#
The camera doesn't switch anymore.
#
reboot again
#
2 time reboot OK
#
^^
#
but why why the MCU error
pallid glen
#
Your printer board isn't connected Ig, or maybe no configured correctly
#
But please open another post for that to keep some order in the forum
