whats going on with the updates ? it just made another printer go crazy and touch not working anymore also ... and fkms does not exist anymore ??
i worked on this issue for over a week now and on multiple rpi i really cant figure out what has been changed in those updates ?
Please read the last message in #klipper-screen
i did and i also posted it on the github but if you look at what people say they think its an OS or some other update that might have made it cash .. ive looked up everywhere and i dont see any recent update made on the web for mainsail since like 2 weeks
I find that really interesting, you read that we do not get my feedback of the maintainer of klipperscreen. But then you open a post to ask for help for exactly that. Furthermore you provide no info at all. Blablabla does not work is no information we can work with!
Back to topic: My klipperscreen and OS is up to date and working.
And as long you are not able to provide at least the basic information like what display and OS no one at all can help.
Sry for the harsh answer again but what does this have to do with the Mainsail crew and klipper? As you can see on this issue: https://github.com/jordanruthe/KlipperScreen/issues/942, he can't even display the desktop anymore. So it should be some service package update from the raspberry pi foundation. Also there just came an answer while writing this with a solution.
I don't know if it's the same issue for you as you didn't give any information but maybe it will help
If the problem still consist after that "fix". Maybe @languid sand will give you some support on it if you provide more information.
Okay sorry I'm.not used to post and ask for help I usually get it to work myself I will add info when I get home thanks
In the mean time I've posted here too
Is there a command I can run to find missing info that you need ? Thanks
You should know what display you have installed. And your OS version can be seen e.g. here
But I am not sure if I can help. That Klipperscreen stuff is completely depending on your display and the vendor information so that you can not give any common advice.
If you talking about mainsail OS than there is an option for the other extremely frustration construction area … pi cam that you can try to remove.
I have no MainsailOS install on hand but it is labeled like that in the config.txt
My system of pi4/BTT TFT50 and bullseye is working
Version: v0.11.0-169-g83308a10
OS: Raspbian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)
Distro: MainsailOS 1.1.1 (bullseye)
i have rpi 3 and a tft50 .. like i said ive installed several of screens on klipper before and i really dont understand why i dont have it boot to screen anymore and get all those errors
sorry for posting here if not aloud i tought this was the place to do so since i am using mainsail and kiauh .,. really sorry again if this is not the place .. ive tried the link you say already and it did nothing at all ... meaby it did fixed it for 2 people but not for me
all the installs ive made are fresh and new from like a day or 2 now ive tried them all i think i just want to learn since im doing a lot often and i really like to learn .. this is why ive managed to create myself a github and look for as much help as i can 🙂 thanks a lot for the help and again sorry if this was not the best place to post it
I will post my config.txt in the evening then you can compare it,
Here is my config.txt That works with a PI4 (should not matter as the special stuff is made for all variants) and a BTT TFT50 compare it to yours
it works for the tft50 but not the rpi 3.5
What is a rpi 3.5
As said each display needs other settings.
Best source are here the vendors.
Cant remember the URL but there is a page LCD Wiki, there are many listed and links to docs, drivers and vendors. Maybe you will find something there.
As far I remember 3.5RPI is one for the gpio pin headers
Ah found it... http://www.lcdwiki.com/Main_Page
