Hello, has anyone converted an older MainsailOS to crowsnest yet?
Is it enough to remove the mjpg-streamer folder, or rename it?
Surely there is still a call to mjpg-streamer somewhere when booting the Pi.

you may also need to disable (+remove) the service, but @fringe flicker will tell you more

In normal condition crowsnest will ask you to remove, but not if you deleted the folder or other related files

#

Files related to mjpeg streamer are relativ easy to find. sudo find / -name "webcamd" should do the job. Remove them all and you are good to go

Thanks, I have not removed anything yet and prefer to ask first. Will do it that way then.

Well, I wasn't asked if jpg-streamer should be removed. My mainsailOS version is probably older.

#

I will now remove the webcam files I found.

Could you remember how old?

#

I think I started around 0.4.0 with crowsnest ...

It must be mailsailOS 0.3.0, according to my documents (digital).

#

I have now deleted the 2 webcam files I found. After the restart everything looks good!

#

Thanks again for the quick help!
