Tried to offer two young players a place in my rooster. The dialog was strange as I had to do it several times. Then this error message pops up.

Hi! I've tried your save file and I had no problem choosing them and then moving forward.
I hope you did too once you restarted the save?
If you could give us more information about “The dialog was strange as I had to do it several times” it would be great!

Thanks for the feedback, but never mind. I changed some values directly in the database for a youth player (only basic stats). I was not able to offer him a pro contract. (well the message that he accepted the contract never showed and in the log we see an error in the CreateOffer method. He ended up in the list of my pro team but continuing the game it crashed). When offering a contract to any other youth player that I did not change in the DB it works fine. So I don't think it is worth your time to follow up one that one.
