What does "no @" or "no ping" mean?

"No @" and "no ping" both mean the user would like for you to turn pings off when replying to them.

If a user has "no @" or "no ping" in their name, do not directly ping them.

You CAN reply to the user, but turn off the ping when you do!

To turn pings off, click the "@ ON" button when sending your message.

It will read "@ OFF" when the ping is turned off. You must do this each time you reply to a "no @" "no ping" user!

Why do some people not want to be pinged?

Some users may feel annoyed or overwhelmed by the red icon, the sound, or other notifications associated with pings. Others may have difficulty reading text on the highlighted background.
