I was playing with the decks and for some reason when I used Plunders deck as a secondary and DM as the main I was not getting coins.

Yeah if it’s the secondary you won’t get coins

In order to get the abilities that come from a faction, you need to have the faction as a primary,
DM primary for the dungeon master
MRA primary to place your creatures in your reserves.
PG primary to get coins every turn
AO primary to discard a card and draw an extra every turn
