plex provider webhooks

I've recently been looking into this app for curating some BPM based playlists on my Plex server

I'm seeing a weird issue where playing tracks via music assistant and/or the plexamp plugin the tracks are not being scrobbled/logged into curatorr in the same way as playing via the Plex web UI or if I'm using plexamp on my phone, with no music assistant intervention.

Curatorr works by logging plays via a webhook in which it adds to Plex.

Question for you @inner wind do you know of any reason why tracks played via music assistant wouldn't trigger the usual 'now playing' or scrobble recent tracks via the webhook?
