how stupid is it to use ai for fact checking
like imagine I have an ai looking at a peice of work
it flags anything that might have issues
and generates a question to google that would verify it
then I take another ai and give it the google results and what the ai flaged
would I have a ton of false positives?
just wondering on a scale of kinda stupid to really stupid, how stupid is this?

Hi @wispy crane. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

The concept of using AI for fact-checking isn't inherently "stupid". In fact, AI has the potential to greatly assist in fact-checking by automating the process and potentially catching errors or inconsistencies that a human might miss. However, the effectiveness of AI in fact-checking largely depends on the sophistication of the AI system and the quality of the data it's trained on.

The scenario you described, where one AI flags potential issues and another AI verifies those issues using Google results, could indeed result in false positives. This is because the AI is only as good as the data it's trained on, and if it's trained on data that contains errors or biases, it could flag incorrect information or miss important details. Additionally, Google results aren't always 100% accurate or reliable, so using them as a source of truth could also lead to errors.

In conclusion, the effectiveness of using AI for fact-checking depends on many factors, including the quality of the AI system, the data it's trained on, and the sources it uses for verification. It's not inherently a "stupid" idea, but it does require careful implementation and ongoing monitoring to ensure accuracy.

Unfortunately, the knowledge sources provided do not contain specific information about using AI for fact-checking in the context of NextJS or web development. For more information about AI and its applications, you might find it helpful to visit the websites of AI companies like Pinecone (https://pinecone.io/), ElevenLabs (https://elevenlabs.io), and fal (https://fal.ai/).
