favicon not showing on tabs but not on google search

Hey guys, I have placed a favicon.ico in my app directory. It shows up as a tab icon, but when I go to Google search it looks like the above. Anyone know a reaon why? Thanks

google takes their time 😭

i updated my logo more then a month ago, and im still waiting (in another of my sites it took some time but it did end up changing finaly)

there isnt much you can do it seems, but they claim you can add site to search console and request indexing on hompage (i tried it but still waiting for updates)

Idk what I did, but it works for me so you can try replicating my metadata setups in https://github.com/joulev/website. PS yes I do go to Google search console to add my site.
