How can I know in server side when the user is enter for the first time, and not changing the page?

I'm in the browser and I enter in website, for example www.example.pt/dashboard, then I know (browser page) -> example/dashboard. But when I navigate already in website I know example/dashboard -> example/dashboard/blob.
What I want to know if the user is comming from website or not.
