few people just joined my new guild yesterday and all 3 asked me the same questions :
Is my class good?
Is there a leveling guide and gearing guide that i can follow?
Best spots to farm rupies?
I see many games embed a link on how to start the game as soon as they join discord so i believe we can do the same.
My honest feedback:
-
Too many channels are not up to date, some infos are in official server and not here ( a new player won't know where to look )
-
Useful links like tools and websites are in a pinned messages instead of being stored in a dedicated channel of all usefull tools ( new players need to search the right keyword to find it if they even heard about it in the first place ( like the syndicate website or the map tracker tool )
-
Some class specific documents are no where to be found (i.e BM pet stats from harmony ).
-
Do not force new / returned players to do their homework just to play their childhood game , instead , prepare a step by step guide and relevant information that can help them progress by organising this discord ( the info is already here but needs better structure )
-
One single page guide on basic steps to progress would be helpfull ( bullet points , usefull links for each step if available , youtube links ) : not talking about quests only , overall steps to level too.
-
There is no page that shows the status of classes , which class has already been balanced and which hasn't and this make new players confused and lose interest quickly (.i.e , someone joined and wanted to play MM because it's his favorite class , after leveling and questing he heard that MM is unplayable , he regretted that he didn't go Berserker at least ( which is also terrible but hey still managable ) and deleted the game..

One of the most asked question , what gear do I look for at 160? what purple stats , what main skill +1 to aim for? best pet for my class ? would be great to have a guide for this liek a summary of all classes
I'm not asking Mods to do all of this work if you have no time , but at least can you approve the idea of a centralised source of information by defining the structure of the page and veteran players can suggest a guideline => the winner of the best guidelines gets a coupon or something ( or nothing if it's not possible to reward )
Make a Discord event "Best Guide for new players " or something.. this is just an idea , I'm sure you are wiser to come up with something better.
