#Best way to get high quality/detailed pictures of your character?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I only managed to get a few solid photos with my characters but all the other ones didn’t look that great and I was just wondering if anyone else has any tips/tricks of getting the best photos of their character.
I saw people usually utilize Otis + ReShade but I usually use photo mode enhanced mod and take photos using steam or nvidia ansel
If you're in a dark area, like a dungeon or a cave, use Lumos to illuminate the area & then take some shots. I did that in the Scriptorium with the boys & did it again in the mine with Amit later on.
I’m not on PC and can’t use any external tools or mods to help me take photos. So I just have to take them using the built in photo mode in the game.
Thanks. I will try that. I do admit I do wish they had a better photo mode system but I will try your suggestion and see how it looks.
If you're playing on the PC, you can do the photo mods with the game, but I found that Lumos works really well no matter what system you play on.
I won't say where if you haven't gotten this far, but here's a shot of Ominis with Lumos cast upon him from my PC. 🙂 Marked as a spoiler so those that know where he's at won't ruin it hopefully.
Yeah but I don’t want to use lumos because I feel like it takes away color and contrast for my photos. I mean it looks great and all but I prefer it when it’s taken in natural lighting environments.
Reshade may work with it. Free little program that works with many games, but just be careful where you use it. Hogsmeade is the heaviest RAM using area in the game.

Yeah but the thing is I don’t have mods. I’m playing on console which means I can only utilize capturing photos in the built in photo mode itself.
That'll mean using Lumos or being outside in the sun or moon light.
What platform do you play the game on? And how do you usually take your photos?
I've done a few photos on the PS5 & some on the XBOX Series X. I usually go for the sunshine, moonlight or use lumos, but it depends on where I am. 😁
Yeah I mean it's hard but if you want can dm me and tell me all about how to capture your best photos. It's just I don't think anyone else is interested in this topic tbf.
