Demiguise Moon Statue quest help

Hi, everyone, does anyone know how to fix this i have tried restarting pc restarting game and loading an old save still have this problem whenever i collet a Demiguise Moon Statue but won't show up and when i go to hand them in it just says i have 8/9 but i have been collecting more them

8 even after i pick one up

The quest counter only updates when you hand them in to Mr Moon. If you just now collected that one in the photo, the quest counter won't update until you actuallly give it to him
