Hm. Your duelling feats are still on the screen; perhaps the game still thinks you're in combat and won't progress the quest until you're 'safe'?

Maybe defeat every enemy at the castle even if they're not nearby; the Rangers are the easiest to miss since they're on the perimeter

Also, did you try opening the quest map again? It says to 'use the map', so maybe it needs to be sure that you've looked at it to see the pattern, even though you obviously know what it is already

I restarted my game after i had killed the enemies and that worked, thanks for your help
