Enemies dont spawn right after the Death enemy cutscene, nothing spawns afterward, and the ladder part never triggers fromt that point forward. I’ve tried saves, restarting the quest, verifying files, i dont use mods nothing works. this is my first playthrough

Stuck on Fitzgerald's Trial Hardlock
I’m on PC, and Niamh Fitzgerald’s Trial is broken for me. After the cutscene with the big Death enemy, the enemies dont spawn and the mission never progresses. No enemies spawn in the stealth section, and the ladder objective never triggers from that point forward.
I’ve tried everything I can think of (earlier saves, restarting the quest, verifying files, i dont use mods), but I’m still hard-locked and can’t continue the story.
If anyone has dealt with this exact issue and found a fix, please let me know. this is my first playthrough and I really want to keep playing.

I'm sorry u r going through this really frustrating experience, Sometimes an unread letter in your Owl Post can halt progression I think, have look and ensure all messages are opened and read.
If that doesn't fix go to your Quest menu, select the current problematic quest, and look for the option to abandon.
I'm sorry u might lose progress for abandoning but it often fixes the underlying bug causing the enemies not to spawn.

omg really after everything i tried.. what you said fixed it right up 
..
i didnt even know u can abandon quests and i didnt even lose any proggress but now everything seems to work! enemies are spawning and im getting thru the trial!
i can't express my gratitude for this even tho i feel super dumb not finding this in the internet
