what version do i need to tame the unicorns and pheonix and thestrals

For unicorns:
I would recommend u capturing at least one male and one female unicorn.

There are also no differences in stats, abilities, or the amount of resources they provide. The only difference is the cosmetic and colour.

||Shiny Golden & Brown Unicorn: This is a rare, randomly spawned variant that has a star icon next to its nameplate in the inventory. It has a golden-brown coat as an adult, which can be difficult to find due to only one unicorn spawning at a time in the den.

Hazel the unicorn: is a brighter white than a standard unicorn and is a unique, named creature. This is a specific unicorn obtained during the side quest "The Unique Unicorn," given by Betty Bugbrooke in Hogsmeade.

There's also Standard White Unicorn: This is the common variant found at the single unicorn den location in the Forbidden Forest.

Location: The Forbidden Forest, far northeast, near the East North Ford Bog entrance, and finding a shiny involves patience: u need to udse the save/reload tricks. ||

For the pheonix, u only need to tame one unique Phoenix that is acquired as part of a specific side quest.

There are no "versions" like a shiny variant and you cannot breed more.

Once you have the quest, you will be led to the Phoenix Mountain Cave in the ||Poidsear Coast region. At the end of the quest, the Phoenix will willingly enter your Nab-sack without needing the typical button-mashing mini-game.

After taming, returning to Deek, the Phoenix will automatically be released into the fourth and final Vivarium located on the upper level of the Room of Requirement.||

For the Thestral

You should simply catch the colour variant you find most appealing to look at in your vivarium or as a potential mount.

||Shiny Thestrals are a light grey/white colour with an almost chrome-like appearance in the sunlight.

Regular Thestrals: These come in typical dark gray or blackish-grey for males, and a yellowish-green or brown colour for females.

Deluxe Edition Thestral: this is for players who own the Deluxe or Collector's Edition of the game receive a specific unique dark grey Thestral mount named Sepulchria (which uses the male model but is female in description), available after completing the "The High Keep" main quest.

Location:
You can find a Thestral den in the north-most section of the map in North Ford Bog. Head to the East North Ford Bog Floo Flame and go north to find the den.||

The standard white unicorn pretty much looks similar but abit dull compared to Hazel's Exceptionally bright, pure white coat. I think Hazel is abit faster too.

Hazel's unique capture mechanic also is notable and can only be found during a specific quest.
