You know what you need to do and good luck.
best solution is to visit a Mooncalf den in the open world, at night time, and capture there using your Nab-sack or by attempting to reload a previous save if you have.
If you don’t have a save try doing again.
You can open your map and use the "Wait" function (press the indicated button prompt) to advance time until night falls.
Look for a Mooncalf Den icon a white paw print over a moon symbol on your world map.
There's a reliable den location in the Forbidden Forest, just ||south of the North Ford Bog Entrance Floo Flame, or west from Upper Hogsfield.||
Once you arrive at the den at night, use the ||Disillusionment spell to sneak up on the Mooncalves.||
