Spitwich was in the shop when I originally bought brooms and when I finished the very first quest. I have since received the owl for the first upgrade purchase but he isn't EVER there. I'm talking HOURS of game play and checking in regularly.
He TALKS to me when I enter but the character doesn't show up, nor does anyway to interact with him.
Ideas?

He disappeared for me too, visually. But I can still interact with him and talk to him.
You may have to move around the shop a bit but he should have a coins logo over his head.
