game freezes and crashes when I click "Play Mods", I reinstalled, deleted "~mods" folder along with all mods, verified game files and still having the same issue. please any ideas what could possibly be causing this issue? its frustrating that this new feature is now available and I can't use it. My game first crashed when I agreed to curseforge services and now it freezes and crashes when I click "Play Mods"

do a clean install. completely delete all files from HL and the game and reinstall it. once installed go back and add your mods 1 at a time. meaning add one mod then load in, quit and then go back and add another until you find the broken mod.

I have solution. Go in windows defender, press first pic. then second pic then third pic downer option then press defended files or sumthing and find hogwartslegacy.exe and accept it
