Lumos frame

Is there some kind of bug with this Lumos frame (the one that's sort of opposite the defence against the dark arts tower floo flame)? I cannot for the life of me find it, I've tried leaving it and coming back but it never appears so is it a bug or am I just genuinely not looking the right area?

it should laying on the pillar on your right hand side when you are walking through the hallway that leads to fig's classroom.

I mean not exactly in the spot that is on this frame

I’ve just checked again and it’s definitely not there, even Revelio isn’t making anything show up

If you're absolutely sure you're checking the correct location and the moth isn't showing up even when you have Lumos activated, then yeah the only thing I can think of is that it's a bug, though it isn't one that's been reported before.

That and maybe also report it. So they know about the bug if it is one

I just logged onto another save file and it’s there on that one…

That’s probably even more annoying than it not being there

Yep I just went and looked on another save and that’s exactly where it was

In rare cases I've found that you need to use Lumos on the portrait again in order to make the butterfly show up, or that you need to turn it off before going to the spot where it is and then light your wand again

I’ve tried both of those 😞

I always turn off my wand before going to find the moth anyway so I don’t think it’s that

I’ve found another bug 😭

strange, I haven't encounter this bug during the past 880+ hours

I googled it and apparently this one’s a common bug at least

It weird that it hasn't disappeared....

I've found that one multiple times without issue

Yeah I can find it perfectly fine on other save files but not my main one for some reason

If its any consolation (although I've found it sooner than 100%) There are many things that I've found go missing entirely and have to reload saves

You can report bug in Hogwarts Legacy here https://hogwartslegacy.bugs.wbgames.com/all but usually it takes ages to fix, or never fixed. I reported one when the game launched last year but it was never fixed.
