Hey i have upgraded pc specs dramatically and surprisingly i had like around only 5-10 fps more on my new pc on medium-high preset.
Total: 70-80 fps
What more is that i had the laptop already for 2.5 years so its performance wasnt peak, and my pc is at its peak.

Beforehand:
LAPTOP!!
-Gtx 1660ti
-intel i7 6 cores
-16 g ram
-512 gb ssd
-dont remember psu but it was fine all the time so i reckon around 500w

now:
PC!!
-amd rx 6650 xt 8gb vram ddr6
-ryzen 5 5600x
-16 gb ram ddr4
-psu 750W

I read HL slurps vram, should i consuder upgrading parts? Since i only have 8gb vram and not the best cpu

Hi lovely, so I am not a professional or anything but I found 32GB RAM meant that even with around your previous specs, it ran better than on my partner's higher end PC with less RAM

But then why is the recommended settings for HL also 8 gb vram and much lower gpu?

#

And my previous laptop had 6 gb vram, so i find this very very odd..

Hmmm, it is honestly a pourly optimised game for some reason for a lot of people, so I wouldnt worry massively - my partner with a 3070 and a much better CPU had poorer performance than me on a 3060 and a much lower CPU just for the reason that it didnt like his PC

#

It is unfortunately a feature for now. Hopefully performance patches will start being developed now the switch version is out ❤️

Okay so it aint my pc, thats actually all i needed to hear xD, i still am playing between 60-80 fps without stuttering so its playable for sure, but i was confused since RDR2 also on high preset has like 60-70 fps and RDR2 is like heavy heavy

Plus im lowkey an fps junky hehe

My partner is the same LOL, yeah it probably isn't an issue with your PC, there have been plenty of performance issues

But fingers crossed it gets resolved!
