Appearence

Hello. I was wondering if someone could explain to me the difference between equipment and appearance. I understood that equipment can be found throughout the game, while appearances are added to the collection in the wizard guide. I'm curious if appearances of equipment found everywhere can be kept even if we sell the equipment. Thanks in advance!

yes.
you will keep all apperances you find in the game even when sellin the equipment.
equpment is basically what gives you the stats, bonuses etc.
while apperance just lets you change the look to any you found before without loosing the perks of the equipment

i just clear out my inventory of all stuff i don´t need, and can still apply their looks via appearances

Thank you for your response. For example, if I find a hat in a chest with certain attributes, I permanently receive the appearance of the hat in the appearance list and the characteristics of the hat when I equip it. But I have one last question: in the collections menu, does the list of found appearances correspond to all game appearances? For instance, will the appearance of the hat I previously found be added to this list?

will be forever in the apperances

In the wizard guide collection category, there is a section for appearances. I assume they can be collected.
