Hi! I'm new here, so idk where to ask this question, but does anyone know who the Slytherin student you find in the "Meet Sebastian Along The Coast" quest is when you enter the Catacombs???? There was a note on them and no other info. I thought it was super bizarre that it wasn't a big deal that there was a DEAD student so far away from Hogwarts. Thanks for any info on this; if you have any

It's not just a Slytherin student, it's a student of Salazar Slytherin who lived around 900 years before the game is set. Sebastian found information about him in Salazar Slytherin's book that he took from Slytherin's scriptorium.
Sebastian found out that this student had been sent to this location, to catacombs that had already been built even in his time, to investigate them for Slytherin. It hasn't yet been established where he might be buried or anything but yes, 900 years later he is definitely dead.
Oh wait, I think I just understood, you don't mean the man with the note on about a chicken inspection, do you? Behind the Devil's Snare, in a cave in the mountain? There's actually possibly a Daily Prophet article about him. He's an adult and either accidentally or on purpose trying to breed a Basilisk, which you do by hatching a chicken egg under a toad. Either way, given that he's dead he likely succeeded
