I know there was an issue with the quest when the game first came out, but as I am playing on my Xbox Series S, I have collected several demisuise statues, but still shows as 0/9. I thought that was fixed in an update, am I wrong?

just check your inventory, if you have them, then its fine, it actually doesnt show progress of collecting them, but only updates after you turn them in
so just get 9 and turn them in and you will get Alohomora 2
