I won’t level up?

I got the trophy for reaching level 40, but in game i’m still 39 but i can’t earn anymore xp. i reported this bug at: https://hogwartslegacy.bugs.wbgames.com/bug/HL-8184
and was wondering if anyone else had the issue? if so, can you put a comment so this bug can gain attention? i won’t get my platinum trophy without the last talent point, and since i didn’t level up in game to 40 i never got it, despite getting the trophy for “leveling up to level 40.”

Have you got any of the missions left in the book? Is anything less than 100%

I am waiting on take the biscuit side quest to get fixed cause I can’t unlock the cage. but besides that everything else is at 100%!

Then I think that’s what you’re missing, I’m the same. Until we can complete the biscuit mission you won’t gain any more xp, as xp is from doing the missions and completing the quests etc ☺️

I got XP from going around and completing the dueling feat challenge which is how i got the trophy i think. So i won’t actually level up to 40 in game, despite getting the trophy, until take the biscuit is fixed?

Yeah that’s the duelling challenges, you’ll find if you complete any duelling challenge now you won’t gain xp as you’ve completed the amount to complete it in the book

I’ve also got the level 40 trophy but I am still level 39 in game. Am I waiting on 2 bug fixes to reach platinum 😂

That’s just so lame that I won’t actually level up to 40 in game without it🫠 And how i’ve been waiting for so long it feels like for it to get fixed.

OH NO! What other bug are you experiencing? Also, have you already reached the map chamber as each house?

Oh wow, I am lucky that the only bug I experienced is take the biscuit. I’ll go delete my new bug report prob. since now i know i’m just waiting on that quest, again, to get fixed.

Oh no I’ve got Slytherin and Ravenclaw to do in the map chamber achievement too!

They are 100% aware and fixing the biscuit mission, we’ve just got to wait for the update ☺️

Oh! So i haven’t wanted to start my other characters to do that yet because i am skeptical of it resetting my trophies or something with a new character if they aren’t fully completed.

No I’ve done Gryffindor. It won’t reset your trophies, just make sure you select new character under the character you already have 😄

Thank you SO much! I’ve been wanting to play but haven’t cause I just needed to start my other characters but didn’t want to risk the fact i’m only 1 side quest away from full completion for this character. That’s awesome to know! Now I can ~patiently~ wait since i can play as other characters haha! Thanks for the info, really appreciate it!

Absolutely no problem at all! I had the same issue and was worried about getting to level 40 also in game, the biscuit mission should make us level 40 and give us the missing clothing pieces 😄

Awesome to know. I was so worried that it was something else, but i’m not surprised that take the biscuit being uncompleted is causing more chaos than it really should LOL! On to being a Slytherin in the mean time!😂

Have fun being Slytherin 😄 when I went to another house to make it to the map chamber I was surprised how long it takes to get there, only reason I haven’t done the other two houses yet 😅

I totally forgot how far into the story it was, i felt like 1/3 onto it? I’m just excited to talk to Sebastian again😂 It’s been so long since I finished the story, i’m excited to play through as an evil slytherin!!! my first one was my real name as my real house (huffle) and looked like me, but now i’m gonna get to be ~creative~! Honestly kinda happy to know it won’t be super fast so it gives me a lot to do while waiting for take the biscuit to get finished.

So did it! I was well sassy as a Gryffindor! I think I’ll quickly do Ravenclaw and do my second play through as Slytherin too 😄 the first time I was a huffle and it was truly such an amazing game to play!

The dev’s released a patch so I was able to go complete the last side quest (take the biscuit) and i immediately leveled up to 40!

You beee to complete 100% of the book to get to level 40 in game

I just need to finish Sebastian's story. Almost done with that but everything else I am done.

Once you do that you should be level 40 as it counts towards the missions in the book

That’s why! You have to have everything done, even if you have the amount of xp to be level 40, you won’t level up in game to 40 until you complete them all.

Ok! Hopefully it works because I would be super bummed if it didn't for my main character I have been using.

It should work, all I had to complete was the biscuit mission, as soon as I did that I got the level straight away.
