why my fps are so low now yesterday when i was playing i had like 60-70 now i got like 20 help
specs intel core i7 6700k,gtx 1660 super, 32 ram ( i run all on low )
i tried switching on and off but nothing

As a rule of thumb this Is how I trouble shoot weird FPS issues. None of this is really HL specific but can be applied to it:

shut down your pc and allow your cpu and gpu to cool, if you know how to check temperatures and they aren’t overheating then skip this

Check your game is fully up to date and validate game files

Kill all non-essential background tasks in task manager even if they seem to have no performance impact

Check to see if your gpu drivers have updated, if performance was okay yesterday and today you’re having issues make sure that there wasn’t a new driver installed today that messed it up

Start the game, low settings and make sure ray tracing is off if this is applicable, it’s not for the 1660 super but I’m saying this incase others read this
ALSO, turn population quality to low
- if it runs okay after all of the above then slowly turn up settings to your preferred balance of visual quality to performance
