I'm missing 1 challenge one and 7 more via exploration.
According to the World Map I've found 117/117, each city is complete, each camp is finished, hogsmeade is 5/5, Hogwarts is 35/35. Any ideas as to the 7 missing ones via exploration? All the quest/dungeon areas show completed as well.

I went scouring every icon on the map again everything still says I've got the total available from each area and I've tried all the vendors and nothing is missing there either...

Butterflies and chests in the vivarium are not marked on map but counts towards the 140 conjurations.
There are 15 butterflies and 12 chest in vivarium (3 each) in total. So you'll want to check that up.
However there is one bug about the butterflies that may cause you to get stuck on 139/140, which I am currently stuck at and have yet to find a solution.

Aye, those may do it. I've tried getting to 100% without a guide but this and the 1 page in the bell tower (ps5) stumped me. I found 8 in the vivariums so that's 4/7 I'm missing and then I'm probably missing a few butterfly ones here or there as well since those don't seem to appear on the map.

I really hope they mark out the butterflies after end game for the achievement hunt (and patch my bug too). But until then, following a video and going through them one by one is your best bet

I was so desparate being stuck at 139/140 and having checked butterflies start and end positions 3 times, that I fired up a video and followed each butterfly track from start to finish step by step spamming revelio. No luck tho of course

Same. From what I read it seems that one of the butterflies (in the forbidden forest) has despawned without giving us a chest after the "follow the butterflies" quest.

The only way to circumvent it is to beeline the quest before getting any other butterflies
Which I cannot do because that would mean giving up on my 60 hours save and starting over

Yeah I did those quest butterflies very early on and I'm not starting over, would definitely be too soon for me
