Cant Rescue Biscuit

I cant rescue Biscuit because there is no lock because i opened it before the quest i think!
What do i do now?

there is a mission marker on the spot where the lock was but i cant interact.
It only shows me to interact with the ground of the cage via E and it says "The Map chamber" but if i click e or keep it pressed nothing happens!

where can i upload screenshots?

i unlocked that cage days ago i dont know when exactly and dont have a savegame that old

how can you tell that its an shiny without catching it? ive seen multiple different colored pets that i catched that aren't labled shiny o.O

On ps5 when u use the L2 and target a creature it will say its name and gender and to know if it's shiny it will have a +

It will say ots gender and have a + also

@agile wedge If you are using PC, i can edit the save file and help you continue your Biscuit quest. I recommend backing up your save file so you have an original copy elsewhere.

i know how to work with hexedit, can you give me a hint where to look for/what to edit?

@agile wedge I used a software to find the "MoonCalfCage_0.Padlock" portion and change that. I don't know about hexediting.

do you know if that'll affect steam achievements? I'm currently working on the remaining hidden achievements, otherwise the only ones I have left are because of this stupid bug.

@silk elbow No bad effects. None of my achievements were affected and I got all achievements on steam.

For the infamous foes. Try editting the death of a boss so that he respawns ^^
