does learning a curse afect your character or only if you use it?

it doesn't affect anything, it's just another curse, theres no negative to using it

ok, so each curse or spell does something different, but like if you use an unforgivable, theres no morality system, so it does what the spell is intended fo but it won't send you to azkaban or anything

i know but ive heard using the spell makes ur character stand weirder and stuff so if i learn it and dont use it will it still do that?

oh, i didn't know that, fo that question, i am unsure the answer, i've seen a lot of stuff on HL and i haven't seen anything regarding that

Yes. Some of the enemies will say something like "You are the one not even ashamed of using unforgivables!" (edit: had this with poachers)
