100% cpu usage
same here, but no cpu usage
google it, works for me: "How to Fix Hogwarts Legacy Crashing During Shaders"
@torn rock what did you use to fix it?
@round niche did u fix it ?
i just got a new cpu so we will see i need to install it
instructions from the search results
Head to C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy. Then head to Saves\Config\WindowsNoEditor and locate the “Engine.ini” file and open it with Notepad. At the end of the file, copy and paste the following three lines and then save the document:
[SystemSettings]
r.TextureStreaming=1
r.Streaming.PoolSize=3096
Be wary however that the PoolSize value will vary depending on your GPU. For example, the above value of 3096 belongs to a 3080 video card. For a 3090, the value will be 9000, for a 3060, the value is set to 400. Be sure to look out for your GPU PoolSize value to correctly include this value in the Engine.ini file.
ah it was my crappy ryzen 5 1600
it finally got past the 10% mark
now it gets stuck at like 70%
then crashes
i have the same problem, and i have tried all the things i could find to fix it, and notheing seems to work
Hey guys I’ve had this problem as well and it’s been really hard trying to get it to work, I finally got it to work after doing exactly what they’ve said, this screenshot here is what helped me actually fix it
Wait I can’t sent screenshots haha but it’s this:
Delete the Hogwarts Legacy’s ProgramData Contents
In order to attempt this fix, you will need to enable the ability to see hidden folders. Open File Explorer and check Hidden Items in the View Tab. Afterward, head to C:\ProgramData\Hogwarts Legacy. Then, proceed to delete all the items located in the Hogwarts Legacy folder inside the ProgramData folder and remove them from the trash. This will reset all the settings that belong to these files. Boot up your game and the issue should be resolved.
And I’m finally on the game after loading up the game to so many times and having to exit it. I’ve apparently played 46 hours when in fact it’s just me loading up the screen and keeping it on hoping it would just fix itself, I’m hoping that this has helped for you guys
